The credited design team
The 20-slide GUMSHOE presentation preserved by the Museum of Southeast Moravia names Shaquille Gunther and Garezi Septara on slide 2. It identifies their connection to Explicit and their design roles in that presentation. Their ages shown in the deck belong to that publication, so they are not repeated as current biographical facts.
Read their work through the product
The material story becomes tangible in the pink and black sneaker designs, the map-pattern outsole and the heel motif. A simple silhouette lets those details carry the idea. Side, heel and underside photographs make the design decisions accessible without requiring a technical drawing.
Product design meets communication
The presentation moves from the street-gum problem to Gum-tec, then to the sneaker, the colourways and the campaign. This is a useful example of the different tasks in a collaborative project: materials, footwear, city context and communication.
The deck credits Publicis One, Explicit and Gum-tec. A credit identifies a contribution to that project; it is not a licence to invent new awards, current titles or individual quotations.
Use the record responsibly
For a presentation or teaching exercise, pair the visible product detail with the source that supports it. Keep dates and project roles attached to the original event. Contact GUMSHOE for brand and product enquiries; requests for a named designer’s current professional role need direct confirmation.
A contribution in the wider team
Footwear design, campaign art and material development have different credits. The complete campaign record helps distinguish those roles. Read the team guide to attribute the shoe design without assigning the campaign film or new website explanations to the footwear designers.
- CITY: Amsterdam gives the project its street context.
- MATERIAL: Gumdrop develops the Gum-tec compound.
- DESIGN: Explicit turns a material into a sneaker.
- MESSAGE: The 2018 campaign makes the idea visible.
